Privé MEDSPA Biostimulation Facial with Plasma Rich in Growth Factors (PRGF)

The term biostimulation refers to the set of procedures aimed at biologically activating the skin cells in order to stimulate the production of collagen type III, elastin and hyaluronic acid from their precursors which are proline, lysine and glucosamine. One of the currently most prominent biostimulation techniques is the use of plasma rich in platelets or plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF).

The first use of growth factors was made by Dr. Eduardo Anitua to carry out oral implants and had an excellent result. Since then it has been applied to oral implants, in order to regenerate the bone tissue (and thereby reduce the time of consolidation), as well as after teeth extractions to allow a faster scaring process.Shortly thereafter, its use crossed into other medical areas such as traumatology and sports medicine where it can accelerate the recovery of an athlete. The plasma rich in growth factors has also stared to be used in aesthetic medicine, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, vascular medicine and other surgical specialties with the purpose of repairing the tissues damaged during the surgery in a quicker way.

PLASMA GROWTH FACTOR Facial

The Plasma Growth Factor Facial is one of the procedures used in the rejuvenation of the skin given that it stimulates the production of collagen type III, elastin and hyaluronic acid which allows to improve the look of the skin and increase its firmness and luminosity in a safe manner.

This technique consists in extracting a small volume of blood and introducing it in tubes with sodium citrate to prevent coagulation, centrifuging to obtain separation of the blood into its different plasma functions and, subsequently, using the richest fraction in growth factors to carry out the biological stimulation in the skin.

The biostimulation allows the increase of tonicity of the skin, treatment of thin wrinkles in the face and a improvement of the general condition of the face.

We recommend its association with face mesotherapy with vitamins and radiofrequency.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The treatment is natural and physiologic, given that it uses the indogenous proteins, which are selected and concentrated to repair the damages caused by the aging process. As it is a product of the patients own blood, there are no risks of allergy or intolerance.

The platelets release the growth factors which are in charge of stimulating the cellular regeneration, increasing the formation of new blood vessels and producing new tissue. The thickness of the skin increases, as well as its elasticity and firmness.
This treatment may be preventive in the case of a young skin as well as regenerative in the case of an aged skin.
Currently, this is also applied at the hair level in order to prevent hair loss. Its application allows the existence of new vessels which are essential to stimulate the growth of new hair.

The procedure
After cleaning the skin, we apply an anesthetic cream.
We extract a small volume of blood of the patient to centrifuge and obtain plasma rich in platelets.
After activation and preparation it is through multiple punctures with a very thin needle in accordance with the mesotherapy technique. The treatment is made in the clinic consultation office in ambulatory regime.

Results
The results are immediately assessed in the first week of treatment and have a maximum effect 20 days after the treatment.
The application of vitamins by mesotherapy around the 20th day allows to optimise the results.
It has no counter-indications. It does not cause allergies or reactions in the form of nodules or granulomas as it consists of plasma of the patient.

Duration of treatment
The number of sessions depends on the condition of the skin.
Normally the treatment plan includes 2 sessions with a 6 months interval, being advisable to apply vitamins by mesotherapy during such break, as well as radiofrequency to optimise and extend the results.
It may take a maximum of one hour since the extraction of the blood until the end of the appointment.
Only very rarely will bruises or redness appear.
